Do I Need A Planner?

So many things are going through your mind right now. You're thinking ok, I've set a date and I have a budget, now what? I have so much to do and so little time to do it. How can I possibly plan the wedding of my dreams when I work full time and I'm already overwhelmed with so many other obligations and OMG, I totally forgot about school. I can't do this!
If this is you, you need to call a planner (TekaBella's). Ok, that may be a little bias but, if not us, please call somebody because you're going to need the help.
You may be the DIY bride like I was and think that you have it all under control. No worries at all right? You've got this. You have the time and the talent to make everything you want come to reality. You even have a team of great friends ready to help you with every fine detail down to the favors. If this is you, you may not need to call us... just yet anyway. Although I was this type of bride, I soon after realized that there was so much that I didn't have a clue about like where to find a venue, what photographer will take on my budget and what types of dresses will look best for my bridesmaids. I know, dresses for bridesmaids seems easy right? Don't be too quick to judge. Remember, your bridesmaids are different sizes and shapes and what looks good on one, may not look so good on the other. Most planners offer a variety of packages to suit your particular needs. The "Day Of" planner may be what's best for you.
Ok already! So you are the perfect planner for your own wedding! That's perfect! I believe in you and your skills. Go for it! It can be done! Just don't get overwhelmed. It's your special day and you want to do everything you can to make it a drama free, stress free occasion. So, if things get a little out of hand, call someone (and she whispers, "TekaBella's 336-460-5578").
If you decide to hire a planner, it's going to be one of the best decision of your life. If you get a great planner, they are going to have all of the skills, contacts and expertise needed to make the planning simple for you. They may offer a variety of packages to fit your custom needs. The cost may vary depending on what your needs are and what package you choose. Some planners charge a flat rate, others may charge a percentage of your budget where there are some that receive commissions from the companies they refer you to which allow them to offer you a lower rate.
Before you make the grand decision, schedule a consultation with the planner and ask all the questions you need until you feel comfortable that you are a great fit. Some questions may include, how long she's been in business, what is included in the quoted price, does she have references, what's the cost and how will you have to pay, how often will she be available to you? Take note of her personality. Does she seem like someone who'll be easy to work with, is she knowledgeable of your questions, are you the focus?
Wedding planner or not, your day will be perfect! The things that might make you cry on that day, will make you laugh for many many years to come.
